Pemanfaatan ponsel sebagai modem untuk koneksi internet adalah salah satu alternatif menikamati internet dengan mudah dan bisa dilakukan dimanapun dan kapan saja. Dengan cara ini, kita dapat berinternet dengan mudah. Hanya dengan menghubungkan Komputer/Laptop ke ponsel yang tentunya mendukung jaringan GPRS/CDMA dengan menggunakan kabel data, infrared, ataupun bluetooth. Dengan begitu ponsel berfungsi sebagai modem, untuk koneksi internet.
Sebelum dapat menggunakannya sebagai modem, perlu dilakukan aktivasi untuk layanan GPRS maupun CDMA. Nah untuk melakukan aktivasi layanan GPRS dapat mengikuti petunjuk dari masing-masing operator. Berikut adalah tabel aktivasi untuk layanan GPRS.

Setelah layanan GPRS diaktifkan selanjutnya dapat dibuat konfigurasi dial-up melalui Dial-Up Networking atau Network Connections. Contoh untuk windows XP sebagai berikut :
- Klik Start-Control Panel–dobel klik “Network Connections”
- Klik File – “New Connection”, Klik Next
- Pilih “Connect to the Internet”, klik Next
- Pilih "Set up my connection manually" klik Next
- Pilih "Connect using a dial-up modem" klik Next
- ISP Name (contoh Matrix), klik Next, Phone number: *99***3# – Klik Next
- Isi User Name (ex: indosat ), Password dan Confirm Password (ex: indosat )
- Berikan tanda chek untuk “Make this the default internet connection”.
- Berikan tanda check “Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop”, jika anda menghendaki – Klik Finish
Masukkan nomor akses, user, dan password sesuai dengan operator ponsel yang digunakan. Daftar user dan password dapat dilihat pada tabel 2 di bawah ini.

5. After you hear the audio output proceed to next step, don’t reboot.

12. In the desktop create a text file called ‘ audio.txt ‘and paste it replacing the underlined characters as shown below with qoutes.
DEVCON.EXE RESTART “PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_293E&SUBSYS_3607103C&REV_03“
14. Save the file and rename it to ” audio.bat ” now copy it to ” C:\Documents and Settings\User\Start Menu\Programs\Startup “
15. Thats all now you will be able to hear audio every time you reboot.

the mousepad driver in xp does not support scrolling, if u want the scrollbars to work then install the vista drivers..
the problem with this is that you will not be able to access the mouse controls from the control panel......
this link is replaced with some bullshit.... so i set the mouse pointer speed, and the mouse pointer before installing the vista drivers. this is important if u plan to use an external usb mouse...... the pointer is shitty slow for a external mouse it u don't do it......
